Widget Not Showing on Your Website
Identify common reasons why the widget may not appear and how to fix installation or configuration issues.
If your Widgion chat widget isn't appearing on your website after installation, the issue is almost always related to how the code was added or where it was placed. Working through the most common causes in order will help you identify and fix the problem quickly.
Check That the Script Was Added Correctly
The most common reason a widget doesn't show is that the installation code wasn't added properly. Go to Deploy → Installation & API in your Widgion dashboard and copy your installation code again. If you're using the Widget Bubble option, make sure the JavaScript snippet has been pasted into the correct location in your website's HTML — ideally just before the closing </body> tag or inside the <head> section. If you're using the Iframe option, confirm the HTML snippet is placed inside the specific page element where you want the widget to appear.
After re-adding the code, clear your browser cache and reload the page to check if the widget appears.
Confirm the Right Installation Method Is Selected
Widgion offers three installation methods — Widget Bubble, Iframe, and Direct Link. If you copied the code for one method but your website setup requires another, the widget may not render correctly. Go back to the Installation & API page, select the appropriate method for your setup, and copy the correct code.
Check for JavaScript Conflicts
Some websites have scripts that interfere with third-party JavaScript. If your widget code was added correctly but still isn't showing, check your browser's developer console for any JavaScript errors that might be blocking it. A plugin, theme, or custom script on your website may be conflicting with the widget.
Temporarily disabling other scripts can help identify whether a conflict is the cause.
Verify Your Widget Is Active
Make sure the widget you installed is active and properly configured in your Widgion dashboard. If the widget was recently created but not fully set up, it may not render on the front end.
Check that your AI prompt is configured and that the widget has been deployed correctly before testing again.
