Customizing Widgets
Customize the appearance and behavior of your widgets.
Widgion allows you to customize how your widgets look and behave across your website, including the Knowledgebase, FAQ, and News & Release widgets. From visual styling to interaction behavior, each setting is designed to help you align your widgets with your brand and control how users engage with your content.
This section walks you through the available customization options so you can create a consistent, intuitive, and fully branded support experience.
Look & Feel
The Look & Feel section controls the visual appearance and content presentation of your widget. This is where you define how your widget looks to users and how it communicates information.

Header, Background & Logo
This section allows you to define the primary visual identity of your widget. You can choose a primary color using preset options or a custom value, which is applied across key interface elements.
Applying your brand colors and logo ensures the widget blends seamlessly with your website and feels like a natural extension of your product.

Display Type
The Display Type setting controls how the widget appears on your website. You can choose between a floating layout or a side drawer, depending on how prominent you want the widget to be.
This choice affects both visibility and user interaction, so it should align with your overall layout and user experience goals.

Font Family
This option allows you to customize the font used within your widget. Selecting a font that matches your website improves visual consistency and enhances readability.

Enable Ask Button
The Enable Ask Button allows users to ask questions directly from your connected knowledge sources. When enabled, it provides a faster and more interactive way for users to find answers.
This is especially useful for improving engagement and reducing friction in the support experience.

Social Media Links
This section allows you to add links to your social media profiles within the widget. It gives users additional ways to connect with your brand beyond support interactions.

Translations
The Translations section lets you customize the text displayed across your widget, including greetings, labels, and placeholders. This gives you full control over tone, messaging, and language.
It also helps you adapt your widget for different audiences or regions.

Launcher Button
The Launcher Button section controls how users discover and open your widget. It defines the entry point to your support experience and plays a key role in visibility and engagement.

Position & Type
This setting controls where and how the launcher button appears on your website. Proper placement ensures the widget is easy to find without disrupting the user experience.

Button Style
The Button Style setting determines how the launcher is presented. You can choose styles that either stand out or blend subtly with your interface, depending on your design preference.

Button Icon
This option allows you to customize the icon used for the launcher button. Using a familiar icon or your brand logo helps improve recognition and trust.

Button Spacing
Button Spacing allows you to fine-tune the position of the launcher using horizontal and vertical offsets. This ensures precise placement within your layout.

Button Animation
This setting allows you to apply animation effects to the launcher button. Subtle animations can attract attention and encourage interaction without being distracting.

Prompt Messages
The Prompt Messages section allows you to proactively engage users by displaying short messages from the widget before they initiate interaction. These prompts help guide users, highlight key actions, and encourage engagement with your support system.
By configuring prompt behavior and timing, you can create a more interactive experience that feels responsive and helpful without being intrusive.

Enable Prompt
This setting allows you to turn prompt messages on or off. When enabled, prompts will appear to users based on your configured settings.
Disabling this option removes all prompt messages, keeping the widget passive until users choose to interact.

Show Prompt Once Per Day
This option controls how often prompt messages are shown to the same user. When enabled, each visitor will only see the prompt once per day.
This helps prevent repetition and ensures the experience remains helpful rather than overwhelming.

Add Prompt Messages
Here, you can create and manage the messages displayed to users. These messages can be used to welcome users, suggest actions, or direct them to helpful resources.
Well-crafted prompts can significantly improve engagement by guiding users toward relevant content or support options.

Prompt Position
This setting determines where the prompt appears relative to the launcher button. Adjusting the position helps ensure the prompt fits naturally within your layout and remains noticeable without obstructing other elements.

Delay Prompt Message
The delay setting allows you to control when the prompt appears after a user lands on your page. A shorter delay makes the prompt more immediate, while a longer delay allows users to settle before being prompted. Choosing the right delay helps balance visibility with user comfort.

Loop Messages
When enabled, this option cycles through multiple prompt messages instead of displaying just one. This allows you to communicate different messages over time without overwhelming the user all at once. It is especially useful when you want to highlight multiple features or actions within the widget.

Auto-close Prompt Messages
This setting allows prompt messages to close automatically after a specified duration. It ensures that prompts do not remain on screen longer than necessary.
Auto-closing helps maintain a clean interface while still delivering timely guidance to users.

Why Customization Matters
Customizing your widgets directly impacts how users perceive and interact with your support system. A well-designed widget feels like part of your product, improves discoverability, and builds trust.
By aligning visuals, layout, and interaction behavior, you create a seamless experience that encourages users to engage and find answers more efficiently.
Creating a Consistent Widget Experience
Since all Widgion widgets share similar customization options, applying consistent settings across your Knowledgebase, FAQ, and News & Release widgets ensures a unified experience.
This consistency strengthens your brand identity and makes it easier for users to navigate and interact with your support content, regardless of where they encounter it.
